Chic Suite Sequa in Taviras Historical Centre

There was no breakfast, only a couple of coffee pods and tea bags.

The studio is very simple and the photos shown on the website extremely flattering. Furnishings are very basic, the bed just passable (good mattress, but much used) and the bathroom very small. The whole building is damp despite several attempts at cleaning and repainting the walls.

We didn't know that there were cleaning bits and glasses etc.,stored under the stairs so bought lots of things we didn't actually need. Would be useful to let people know to look before buying

The location is excellent! Right in the centre of Tavira, a few steps away from the old bridge. The A/C is very good, not too noisy, and efficient enough to overcome the fridge's heat. The room is comfortable, clean, and spacious. The mattress is very good. The rooftop terrace is very nicely furnished and shaded - it can be used even during the day.

This is not a suite: it is a room with a sofa. Although a breakfast discount on a nearby café was announced, we got no information about it from the host (there are quite a few nearby cafés). Communication with the host was sketchy: information on access to the property was texted 1/2 hour before our arrival, not the day before as had been agreed. This constituted a problem for finding a parking spot, which was only possible because we know Tavira very well. Some of our texts were never answered. The 1 cu ft fridge, right beside the bed, is noisy and generates quite a lot of heat. Storage space consists of one desk drawer and 8 wire hangers.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but a small suggestion would be for shampoo and conditioner and tea and coffee to be in the room.
