The Rest was perhaps my favorite lodging during our two week trip in New Zealand. Check in was a breeze. The host was very responsive and kindly accommodated our request for a late check out. The space was huge for 2 people. I loved the open layout of the kitchen and dining room. And all of the windows! The kitchen was spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms were great - I especially loved the heated towel racks and floors (!). The beds were super comfy and there were lots of windows in the bedrooms as well. The location was really quiet and a great base for exploring the Mt. Cook area. I highly recommend the Rest!

This property is an absolute gem. It’s in a great location in a lovely little village and well situated for travel to Mt Cook or Lake Tepako. The unit is spacious, modern and very well appointed. It is private, has a bbq as well as a lovely kitchen and the owner was very friendly. You couldn’t go wrong booking here, and I highly recommend staying here.
