The cottage was perfect

Could not get the heating to come on as we had a couple of days where it was raining and a bit chilly in the cottage.

The location was absolutely perfect for us, the walk down into Sandsend is lovely and not to far. The cottage itself is actually better then the pictures, the bath in the upstairs is a bit strange but it did not put us off. The cupboards are full of everything you would ever need which is great, although a handheld vac would have been good as we did take a dog.

The only thing that really did put us off was the refurb works, we did have to wait two days in a row to get back to our cottage, as delivery's were taking place, most of the building staff were rude and miserable. Although they are due to open October, so hopefully it will get better, but I think there are still new cottages to be built.

Had a lovely welcome hamper along with plenty of tea/ coffee etc. Plenty of cups and plates……really well equipped.

The round bath in the middle of the bathroom upstairs. It blocked access to the shower and sitting on the toilet. Really strange. Some complaints about the extensive building works on site but plenty of staff to help us navigate route to our cottage. So for us not an issue.

Loved the decor and ambiance - it was very nice It was easy to get to and location was excellent

The cleaning could have been better. Under the tv stand and the cupboard were just a bit grimy There was lots of cobwebs - some we cleared and the spiders that were there We cleaned in the footwells of the doors because they were filthy and swept out the front of the door.

Cottage itself is all good, lots of supplies left and the kitchen is really well stocked.

At the moment the hotel which the cottage is on is undergoing major renovations so you have to drive though a building site to get to the property which is a shame. I think this should be made clearer as it let down the stay.

A new bath tub has been fitted in the upstairs bathroom, it has overtaken the movement space and is a ‘tight fit’ when using the toilet.

A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Well equipped and lovely welcome hamper. Would highly recommend.
