Theo's Vacation Home

We had such a lovely stay at Theo's. We stayed for almost a week, and were sad to leave. The apartments are family-run, and Theo's brother-in-law Dimitri was around to help. He came to collect us from the ferry when we arrived, and was incredibly kind and caring throughout, bringing us eggs, fruit and vegetables when he was around. We sadly don't speak Greek, but we felt very well looked after by Dimitri. We also met Theo when he was over for the weekend - he was equally as kind and helpful, and told us more about the island. We stayed in the little bungalows on the far side of the garden, and had everything we needed there - we had a bedroom with aircon, a living room, well-stocked kitchen and bathroom. The garden that the bungalows look out onto is beautifully kept, and we made great use of the table on the patio for all of our meals. We felt really at home! The location is perfect - on a really beautiful beach that, in mid/late September, only had a handful of people on it. It's also walkable to the port in the next bay, so we were able to walk over to Linaria for dinner several times (though it's an unlit walk on a road up and down a hill, so a car would be recommended if you don't fancy that!). As Skyros isn't too big, we were also able to do day trips to other parts of the island once we hired a car, while keeping our base at Theo's - it always felt like coming home when we got back in the evenings. Theo was really responsive and helpful over messages, and we bumped into Dimitri a lot, so we felt really safe and cared for. Overall, an excellent experience - thank you to Theo and Dimitri for a really special stay!

The Wifi signal wasn't great in the bungalows - we didn't mind too much as we were enjoying the disconnection, but it wouldn't be strong enough to work from, if you needed it for calls, meetings or video streaming. That was the only thing!
