The Old Surgery

Had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage. Everything you could ever need was provided and was exceptionally clean and a real home from home. The host Allison was only a phone call away if we had any queries and was kind enough to source a bouquet of flowers on behalf of my husband for our anniversary which was a lovely surprise for me. Would not hesitate to return to this lovely cosy cottage.

This is a gorgeous cottage in a great location in the centre of Thirsk. It was very clean and smelled really fresh.. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great in the bathroom. The bonus is the parking right outside the cottage. After reading other reviews, yes it takes a little manoeuvring but we managed with our Skoda Scout which is a fairly large 4 wheel drive car. I wish we had booked it for longer but we will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to others..

The only really minor point for us was the size of the bath towels. They are really small. Everything else was fantastic.

The location was perfect the cottage was clean and cosy and the little touches of a glass of gin and beer on arrival was much appreciated after our long drive.

Parking was tricky as our car was long and the parking spot outside the cottage tight

This beautiful cottage is in an excellent location, a stones throw from the Market place but secluded and peaceful, a hidden gem. Cleanliness was second to none. We were very comfortable and will definitely return ASAP. Although we didn't need her, Allison was just a phone call away.

Very homely, centrally located.

The archway entrance was very tight for a nervous driver.

Spotlessly clean and a great location, with excellent facilities. You are a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of Thirsk, yet the location means that the cottage is quiet and peaceful.

Absolutely nothing.
