"Lovely stay in an idyllic location"

9.0

The location was great for us. Trefor is a very peaceful quiet village with a shop. There is a pub too. The cottage itself was lovely. It looks small from the outside but it's deceptively spacious inside with 2 good size bedrooms, both with good size en suite facilities. It was all very tastefully decorated and it had all the items you need for your stay if you are self catering as we were. We also like the seats and little table at the front where you can sit and look at the mountains while listening to the stream that runs right in front of the cottage.

Just before arrival I received an enormous message from the hosts with, to be fair, some good advice, but also lots of do's and don'ts. They allow dogs but it feels as though they rather you didn't take them. One of don'ts was if they find so much as a dog hair on the furniture, you will lose your deposit. I get they don't want animals jumping all over the furniture but it felt a bit draconian. I can't remember paying a deposit but I thought best not to ask!

Cosy little cottage nestled in Trefor. Great location to access everything in the local area. The beds and linen and everything was spotless the little log burner fire was a bonus. Nothing not to like here and will be back again

"Happy Stay."

A little gem in an idyllic spot on the north Wales coast. Very clean and comfortable with everything we could possibly need, and more . Shop and post office nearby, and a very helpful garage when we had a car maintenance problem! Personal phone call from owner prior to us arriving re a small problem with the property (awaiting attention to boiler) but it didn't affect our enjoyment. Appreciated the call, though.

Not ideal for folk with mobility issues (2 in our party) - cobbled lane on a slope, and steps up to door, but we managed, taking our time! Also stairs in cottage turn at the top, so care needed. Parking also a bit difficult at times - on street at end of cobbled lane.
