Le Kraken Charme & Relax

The apartment is well located in the Citta Alta / Old city in Bergamo. From here you can start your expediction around the magnificents buildings and streets. There is a supermarket and cafes just a few meters. There is enough space in the apartment. You get some basic products to prepare your breakfast. We got some tooth brushes. There is washing machine for cloth. Our host ordered a taxi in advance for us that were leaving early in the morning.

We got the apartment divided in down and upper floor that is a good solution to use space, but if you are a tall og elderly person it can be a challenge. In the main door the door handle was falling apart, something that we reported, but nothing was done. We did not close the main door at night, thinking that we coud not go out of the apartment if we did. The kitchen has enough space to make food and sit, but the cleaning conditions were not the best. The refrigerator is a wine refrigerator that does not holds temperature down enough to keep food in there and not cleaned by a while. This can also be said about the whole kitchen. There were some used products in the kitchen, and the bottle with olive oil was empty. In the main bathroom there were also some used products as toothpaste and soaps in bottles - unnecessary! Some dust in the living room. This apartment could be a magnificent apartment due to its location and architecture, but I would not recommend the apartment before the owner does something with some details and cleaning.

Location

I paid for a B&B but there was no breakfast! The owner only brought us a packed food from market and told us to make it ourselves! And on the booking is written:"breakfast included"! In addition, the second bathroom has a very low ceiling (about 1.5 meters!!) and you have to walk very slanted - there is no information about this in the booking announcement! The staircase to the apartment is very poorly lit, the stairs are very narrow and neglected. There is a mess in front of the door to the apartment, old dried flowers, disorder.

Host didn´t speak english so it was bit hard to understand each other.

Location, lot's of space, good beds and bathrooms. Except for the poorness of the kitchen, this place would be excellent.

We really loved the property - the location and style of it! It made our first night in Italy perfect! Just down the hill from the property was a beautiful Bar with lovely food. The breakfast was self cook - that we never experienced before. But we loved it - since we had all the morning to our self and I could cook brilliant food for my family. There where plenty of food - and we love a good meal! We where met at the airport by the host. There was a little trouble with communication - language barrier. But it was all sorted just took a little more time then necessary.

The place was nice, but being in an old historical building and being quite dusty - this is the only thing that could be improved.

The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk to the main attractions. The bathroom was awesome, with everything you could possibly need. It was extremely quiet. Check in and check out were seamless. We were allowed to drop off our bags before the check in time, which was very useful.

The breakfast we had wasn't great, there was a nespresso machine but no capsules, and dry toast crackers with jam. There was some milk and a few yogurts in the fridge though. Oh and some packaged croissants. The main areas were clean but you could tell the place hadn't had a deep clean in a long time. However the bathrooms were spotless.
