Casa Castor Forno was fantastic. Very clean, stylish, and everything felt new. Location was great yet still it was quiet and peaceful. We loved the roof terrace!

Everything was perfect

Fabulous small apartment in perfect location. Great sun terrace. Lady who let me in (apologies I’ve forgotten her name) was so very helpful and friendly- she even took me to local supermarket to stock up !

nothing to do with location. tavira roads are currently being cobbled. a bit dusty.

We had a lovely stay at the Casa Castor Forno. The quirky traditional town apartment was well maintained, very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. We enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace every morning. We were welcomed to the apartment by a lovely lady who gave use the tour of the apartment and the apartment keys.. The apartments central Tavira location, was perfect for going out to the towns superb bars and restaurants, which were a 5 minute walk away to the main riverside.. It was 10 minutes to get to the ferry to the beach and 15 minutes to walk to the train station.. We also hired bikes and rode to the hills above Tavira.. The hire shop five minutes from the apartment. We had glorious weather the whole time we were there, the beaches were a 30 minute ferry ride away, with clean golden sand and superb, with plenty of beach bars and restaurants on Tavira island. The Ferries and Trains were very cheap, compared to many places we have visited and the restaurants also seemed very cheap, for some really good food, especially sea food..

We didn't hire a car, but the apartment does not have parking and the roads around look quite tricky to find parking close by, so I think we were wise in choosing the train, ferry and bicycle to get around. There is a sports bar very close, it was quiet from around 11pm, but seemed to be very noisy putting out there beer bottles at 1-2 am, which was quite annoying and woke us up..

The nights were hot and humid and the air con to”didn’t cool the bedroom sufficiently even when down to 16! Having parasols for beach was great however they were old and tired great to have a roof terrace-having 2 Sun loungers and an outside sofa/coffee table would enhance the space
