Langridge Highland Home

The home was clean and comfortable and had everything you would need, like a home from home. Well equipped kitchen, even had an air fryer. Perfect place off the beaten track. The main route to the property is absolutely stunning, made every trip out a pleasure. The view from the front windows of loch broom is stunning and had daily viewings of stags walking past the window. Had an amazing stay and would definintly stay again. Extra benefit of the property was being given access to an ev charger which definently made life much easier, very reasonable charges for electricity for use of it daily too

Only the steep driveway was a downside due to mobility issues and creaky floorboards bit small price to pay for such a wonderful place to stay

Almost everything about the property was spot on. I am disabled and being on one level made things very easy for me. The kitchen had every appliance you could possibly need. I also own an EV, so having a charger on site was really convenient. The view is absolutely stunning across Little Loch Broom.

This might sound a bit picky, but disabled people will understand. I found the shower cubicle to be a bit too small. I did appreciate the grab handle by the door to the shower. However, one on each side of the cubicle would have improved my showering experience. Also, because of the property's amazing location, it has a very steep diveway, which in itself is not an issue. However, the driveway is gated, great for security, but not so good for the disabled, having to negotiate the steep driveway on foot, or continually have to get in and out of your vehicle, to open and close the gate each time you arrive and leave the property. Also, DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR SAT NAV. IT WILL TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG PLACE!!

Beautiful scenic location, beautiful house with everything we needed.

Absolutely nothing

The owner of the house is very kind, informative and fair. We really appreciated that she had given us a heads up regarding the broken boiler which was fixed and it didn’t bother our stay there. She kept us informed about local events and followed up with our forgotten jacket. The house is perfect with the great view. We had really happy stay there.

Nothing to dislike it’s paradise and peace

The view is very lovely. It was comfortably warm. Well equipped. Good kitchen to cook Christmas meals in. Owner is very helpful. They added Christmas decorations for us which was a really kind touch. I like the sustainability efforts around the property. Check in/out was easy.

The shower area was very small, the bathroom ceiling needs attention. There were rodents scuttling at night time in the ceiling above the bedroom. The driveway is steep and awkward, especially with a gate at the bottom of the entrance to open/close too. The beds are small, we had to sleep in separate rooms to be comfortable, I think the main bedroom furniture could go and a bigger bed/two singles installed would be far more relaxing perhaps. The property is overlooked by neighbours on the main bedroom and kitchen side, so curtains were kept drawn unfortunately. Creating low/calm lighting was tricky, maybe more lamps or well positioned adjustable lighting would help.

Just had a fab few days at Langridge Cottage over New Year. A wee gem of a place with outstanding views ! the cottage is very cosy and comfortable, very well equipped and very clean. On arrival in the dark and sleety snow the lights were on, the heating and twinkly Festive decorations. Such a lovely welcome. If you like walking, photography or just being in nature it's the place to go. You can watch the red deer from the window and we also watched porpoises cursing up the Loch ! Communication from the host pre and during arrival was excellent. Thank you Jane .....sadly the Aurora didn't appear !! but the snow made everything Narnia like ! Sooo beautiful hoping I got some good photographs .
