Villa Atlantis

Very friendly and helpful owner who gave us many tips and recommendations. Kitchen was well equipped. Terrace with ocean view. Everything was clean and tastefully decorated. Optimal location to reach almost all places on the island within an hour by car. Amazing sandy beach as well as a supermarket only a couple of minutes away by car. Parking space available.

Bathroom had poor ventilation and was therefore a bit mouldy in some small places (towels should be hung somewhere else to dry). Charming rooster in the neighborhood that started crowing everyday early in the morning (earplugs recommended).

The host is very friendly and helpful! The apartment is comfortable and the location convienent. We had a very nice stay.

The location which was like paradise…. quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We rented a car which is an essential and this was all dealt with by the owner, Silvio. The area is so safe but would be troublesome if you dislike hills! We walked to the nearest bar which is a good 20mins all uphill( we are in our late 50s). The temperature was extremely high whilst we visited at the beginning of August so the private pool was fabulous as well as the little sun trap decked area which is a wonderful place to feed the lizards ( they love melon). We went on a dolphin and whale cruise which was just amazing and was lucky enough to see a mama whale and her calf as well as two large pods of dolphins. The locals are very friendly as are their pets who like to come and say hello. As a female, I felt safe enough to go outside on my own for walks and everyone we met could not have been friendlier. The Villa was clean and well equipped with everything we needed and the supermarket in the town is only a 10 minute drive away. Loved the power of the shower which was used a lot to keep us cool. We were able to find 3/4 English speaking tv channels but mostly spent our time just sat outside with a candle enjoying the peace.

As said previously, the temperature was very high during our visit and so the lack of air conditioning was a problem especially at night. We used the oscillating tower fan in the bedroom and luckily had taken 2 hand held fans with us. We knew Silvio was only a phone call away should we have experienced any problems but there was no need to contact him during our stay.

Really lovely apartment, enough space for two people and close to lots of places - can even see the sunset from the pool area :)

The views were beautiful.

A great place for people looking for peace and quiet away from people and noise. Private, comfortable villa in the countryside, surrounded by banana orchards. Comfortable terrace and swimming pool with undisturbed ocean view.

Great location, great hosts, lovely terrace, everything a couple could need. The washing machine is a tremendous addition, after a few days of trekking in the mud

A minor thing absolutely, but Shower runs a little funky. Don’t expect to take quick showers
