Très belle maison et très bien équipée !

La voie rapide qui est proche

Wir haben im "Haus der Königin" großartige drei Wochen verbracht. Die Lage im Süden der Insel macht es möglich, dass alle Wander- und Ausflugsziele sehr gut mit dem Auto erreichbar sind. Die Vielseitigkeit der Insel bietet immer wieder Neues und Überraschendes. Außergewöhnlich schön waren der blühende Garten und die verschiedenen Terrassen rund ums Haus, auf denen man stets zwischen Sonne und Schatten wählen kann und somit mit einem steten Blick aufs Meer relaxen kann. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was für einen gelungenen Ferienaufenthalt benötigt wird. Vanda ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, an dieser Stelle noch einmal unser herzliches Dankeschön! Wir können sie und ihr Haus wärmstens empfehlen.

We were there for one week in June with nice temperatures so spent most of our time outside when we were at the house but the inside is also really nice and we basically found everything we needed. Our hostess was really communicative and graciously offered us the use of the pool during the second part of the week when the guest house was no longer occupied.

If I have to name something I didn't like it was the occasional car driving by but there were not many so wasn't really a problem.

We had a stay around New Year's Eve. Daily temperature was a maximum of 21C° and often Windy. Luckily we had awesome weather every morning, to have Breakfast out at the very big Terrassa, with a wonderful view on the Sea. I liked the two bathrooms, so everyone had his own "Private Room". There was no central heating. So we spent the evening in front of the nice "open" fireplace in the living room and/or the well equipped kitchen cooking. Supermarket 1min with car or 10min by foot. We also used the BBQ station on the Terrassa. The whole house is in a very good shape and Beautiful.

Heater in the Sleeping room is weak. No Heater in the Bath. Shower Head could have more Pressure(New one).

All good we would definitely recommend

We really liked our stay at this house. Everything was clean and there were even welcome gifts placed. We arrived late but keys were placed for us in a safe box. The view from the house is beautiful. The neighbourhood is quiet. Parking was available in front of the house. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook. The beds are comfortable. The host is a very nice and helpful person. We will definitely come back.

We (4 people, 9 nights) enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was lovely, accomodation had every single amenity we needed, even with additional, pleasant surprises we did not expect. Host - Vanda, was a lovely, kind and gracious host. I would definitely recommend anyone wishing to explore Madeira to consider this property and location, it is much better than staying at some hotel in Funchal :) Best regards, Ramunas

The house was an excellent place to stay! Very clean, mostly very well equipped and the view from the terrace was just gorgeous. It was great to have the pool to provide some entertainment for our 2 year old. Please note you must have a car to get to the property. There are no big shops nearby and the road up to the house was steep. This didn’t bother us though since we had planned to hire a car anyway.

The property had quite an ant problem.. you literally cannot leave any food out even for just a minute as it will be covered in ants. We had to pay extra for the pool heating, which we thought should have been included in the price. Even though we had very sunny November weather for the whole fortnight, the pool was still pretty chilly I must admit. We couldn’t 100% say whether the heating had been put on although the owner confirmed that it had. We couldn’t use the pool in the evenings due to dropping temperatures which was a shame given that we paid a lot of extra money for the heating. I believe the supplies could have been more generous - for example, we were only provided with 2 toilet rolls for 2 weeks and 4 bin bags. Given the ant issue, we had to take the bins out daily and I don’t think we should have to pay bin bags and toilet rolls at that price. There was also not washing detergent for the washing machine which we would have loved to use! Just one or two tablets would have been fine. But we didn’t want to buy a big pack of washing powder for one wash so took all our dirty laundry home which was a shame.
