Zeza´s Garden

Zeza is a really nice and welcoming host, she gave us valuable information about the surroundings/the island, left fruit and cookies for us to taste. 
The house is nice, equipped with everything you need, though a bit kitch in decor. Some stuff was a bit dated, the drier was a cheap plastic one, on the verge of collapsing, the kitchen a bit uncomfortable in use, with super sharp edges, we cut ourselves a couple of times. Otherwise you have everything you need for cooking/food storing there. The house was very clean, all of the textiles were fresh, though I suppose they forgot to clean the fridge (it was not dirty, just not freshly cleaned, and there was some leftover sauce in it). The garden is beautiful, but you can’t really use it ( e.g. put the beach chairs there), because of the garden decor that is all over the place. You can just look at it and walk on the stone path. In June there is sun on the usable part of the terrace until 3-4 p.m. 
Despite the photos, you’re not the only ones there, though it was really quiet and we didn’t really see anyone, but there are two apartments upstairs, and the entrance is right next to the garden. Luckily their balconies don’t directly overlook the garden. Also, there are of course houses and was even a construction nearby, if you just stand up from the table, you can see all that. 
Overall we didn’t feel like we were lacking anything, but there are better accommodations for the price.

Zeza met us in person to show us round the property and hand over the keys and the great selection of local treats she had prepared for our arrival. She was so helpful and keen to share her knowledge of the local area and Madeira in general. We had high expectations from the listing and these were exceeded in every respect. It's a beautiful, well equipped place with a lovely little garden with views of mountain and ocean to die for! Throughout our stay, Zeza kept in touch to make sure our stay was as good as it could be...always available and never invading our privacy. The location is superb. Being away from the beach strip and being able to walk down when you want to is very rare in Calheta...the walk up gets the heart going (our combined age as a couple is 130 years and it was fine for us). Die Wohnung liefert einen phänomenalen Blick aufs Meer. Sie ist gemütlich und umfassend eingerichtet und man kann auf der Terrasse und im Garten wunderbar entspannen. Die Küche bietet alles, was so zum Kochen benötigt wird, zumal sich im Ort ein sehr gut sortierter Supermarkt befindet mit frischem Fisch und allem, was man so st so braucht. Einziger Nachteil ist der Weg zum Ort und zurück, hier sollte man gut zu Fuß sein, denn es geht etwas mehr als 1 km sehr steil bergab und zurück eben wieder hoch. Neben dem Supermarkt finden sich dort ein paar gute Restaurants, eine Strandbar und ein kleiner Sandstrand. Zeza hat uns sehr nett empfangen und ist jederzeit hilfsbereit. Rundum empfehlenswert.

Echt alles was fantastisch: de locatie, de uitrusting van de keuken, de slaapkamer en beddengoed, uitstekende douche. Zeza is ook zeer aardig en behulpzaam!

Niets

Wir verbrachten 6 Tage im Apartement Zezas Garden. Dieses zeichnet sich durch seine herrliche ruhige Lage, perfekte Ausstattung und einen lieblichen Garten vor der Terrasse zur Alleinbenützung aus. Ein Mietauto ist von Vorteil, der Strand lässt sich aber in kurzer Zeit auch zu Fuß über einen steilen Weg erreichen, der Rückweg ist aber eine kleine sportliche Herausforderung ( besser man greift auf Uber zurück). Insgesamt verdient Zezas Garden die Bestnote. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Alles top! Ein warmherziger Empfang inkl. Obstkörbchen mit leckeren Früchten, die Wohnung war blitzsauber, größer als erwartet, sehr gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Das Raumklima war im allgemeinen sehr angenehm. Die Sonne kommt am Morgen über den Berg und wir konnten auch im Januar in der warmen Sonne bei Meerblick auf der Terrasse frühstücken. Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Die Nähe zum Strand und dem Hafen war optimal, es gibt dort auch einen großen Supermarkt und abends kann man auch gut zu Fuß losziehen, wenn man den etwas steileren Rückweg nicht scheut. Ist aber absolut machbar, es führt ein breiter asphaltierter Weg, der gut beleuchtet hinunter(10-15 min zu Fuß). Zeza ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin und vermittelte uns einen unvergesslichen Bootstrip zum Delphine sehen. Vielen Dank, liebe Zeza! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein wundervolles Appartment in äußerst schöner Umgebung mit herrlichem Blick auf den Atlantik. Unser Frühstück auf der Terrasse bei aufgehender Sonne haben wir jeden Morgen sehr genossen!

Es gibt nichts, was hätte besser sein können!

Simply everything was just perfect.
