Very cute living like in a fairy tale. A beautiful garden full of herbs that we could use. Lots of fruit and homemade bread to welcome you.

Sleeping in the attic is a bit uncomfortable due to the reduced height. Proximity to the road is not a problem.

Just come back from 6 nights at Casa Rosa. Beautiful little property in a great location & the owner Dinis was really hopeful & kind. 2 mins drive to Camacha (good cheap supermarket there) & 20 mins drive from central Funchal. You do really need a car in Madeira to get the best out of it but there is a bud stop right outside the accommodation should you need it. Lovely garden for breakfast/ evening food & quiet location.

Mixed feels in the actual property. Despite the above the sleeping area is tiny & you get 2 single beds (we just pushed together). However, it’s tight & defo for the more nimble/ younger people! The top banister was also loose which wasn’t great-sure that’s an easy fix though. The only other gripe was there wasn’t anything provided……& I’m talking stuff like a cloth to keep surfaces clean! The loo was pretty hit & miss-we had to put out loo roll in bags & bin it after use-again not a dealbreaker for us but might not suit some people. It’s is a little dark/ damp ish but in 30 degree heat that’s also ok! Not sure what it would be like in cooler temps. Minor stuff really & we still had a great time.

Very nice little house, close to Funchal by car (15-20 min) or any other activity on the island. It is good for 2 people, the kitchen is well equipped and the garden is really beautiful. Wood is even provided for the barbecue. The host is really nice and will give you nice tips for the things to visit on the island. He also provides a shuttle to the airport (that you'll need to pay extra), but be aware that you need to rent a car to visit the island (buses and taxis are there but it can be complicated and/or expensive to rely on them).

The house is a bit dark, but it is also part of its charm (thick stone walls with a few windows).

Dinis was a gracious host and went out of his way to help us with our requests. We had a wonderful time staying in the area, with a nice walk along the levada, and had some memorable barbeques in the garden.

Beautiful location and cozy cottage with a lovely garden entrance. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. The hosts were very responsive to texts and phone calls. They took urgency in ensuring our needs were met. Washing machine one site was very convenient!
