Terrace Vila by An Island Apart

It’s a very well furnished house, with a fantastic terrace, located in a quiet area, 10-15 mins drive to Funchal. I think it is ideal for 4 people. With a 4y.o. child it was super comfortable to live there. I really enjoyed all small details pf the interior which make the house super cozy😍

Nagyon jól felszerelt, kiváló elhelyezkedésű szállás. Közvetlenül a szállás előtt lehetett parkolni. A közelben éttermek, boltok, illetve az autópályát is könnyen el lehetett érni, ezért nagyon jó kiindulópont a napi kirándulásokhoz. Autóval 2-3 percre több nagyobb élelmiszer bolt is található. A reptér kb. 10-12 percre van.

Mivel a szobákban található matrac nekem túl puha volt, ezért a nappaliban a kanapén aludtam. De mivel csak egy nagy dupla takaró volt mindkét szobában, ezért én csak egy pléddel tudtam takarózni a kanapén.

Super miejsce, fajna lokalizacja do pysznych I niedrogich sniadan :) czysto i ladnie. Nawet mini parking w cenie, na male autko :) blisko plaza Garajau i Dzisas.

Upon arrival, I couldn't find the code for the lockbox but the team were super quick to answer the phone and provide the code, so 10/10 on that. Overall, it was such a pleasant place to stay! With two large rooms, it was perfect for two couples and the living area was wonderful for nights of fun. We took our Nintendo Switch and played lots of games, with plenty of room for sports. The bathroom was lovely, we all adored the shower and we were all sad to not have the best weather to allow us to try the outdoor shower. However, the outside patio was perfect for the sunny mornings and for drying clothes. You're on a fairly busy road, but none of the noises woke us up at any point so no issues there! The town itself was lovely, with everything we needed. The local restaurants were ideal and the easy route to the main roads was perfect for all of our daytrips. We'd definitely recommend the restaurant 'Ferrugem', it's just down the road and the seafood was AMAZING.

The beds are a little hard, which my partner loved but I found a little harder to get used to. There was also a small (but amusing) occurrence on the first night when our friend tried to use one of the plug-in heaters, which tripped the fuse - however, there were blankets provided in the cupboard so only a minor thing (and still very funny at the time).

Stay was ok. we had lots of towels, a nice yard for hanging out. was near a small grocery store and restaurants

not extra comfy, not extra clean, odd kitchen layout, very loud street and sometimes neighbors also (running children). place was very chilly at night; we used the auxiliary heaters to keep us warm. unfortunately we encountered a problem with a broken water heater. we stayed there 6 nights, night 3 and 4 was a cold shower due to poor management of the situation by the owners. night 3, we wrote to them after the cold shower to let them know about the situation. day 4 they told us they didn't want to relocate us and sent people over while we were out to get the situation fixed (i did not like that). at 10 pm we still had no not water, had to take another cold shower. they offered a 10% and i re-asked them to be relocated. the next day they sent more people to re-fix the problem while we were out (didn't like that) and the problem ended up being resolved. after all this, no 10% discount was applied, and we still took 1/3 of our showers cold. in my opinion, i would've not allowed this situation to be in the way or my clients. i would've relocated them instantly and would've dealt with the water heater issue on my own.

I liked most about this place is the terrace with lounge chairs

I didn't like that there were a few cockroaches, likely coming in from outside. It was also very stuffy at night, and with the windows open, the noise from the road was loud all night

The villa was really beautiful and cozy, very comfortable.
