Cozy, spacious apartement, very well equipped, in a quiet village, the closest beach is only a 10-minute drive. Suzana, the owner is very kind and helpful, she gave us a list of recommended restaurants, beaches and even welcomed us with a self-made cake!

The house is cute and comfortable. As we have been there in November, the aircon heating gets the house warm very well. Suzana the owner of the house is such a kind person. Even if they are living in the next house in the same garden she keeps the distance and privacy very well, which is important for us. She brought us such lovely food and cakes, which we enjoyed really. The goulash with homemade gnocchi she brought us, is maybe the best I've ever had. Our dog enjoyed the garden, even the weather wasn't that good. We definitely recommend that house.

Who says Istria is only for summer vacation? My wife and I spent a wonderful 10 days here at “House Kalin” from Suzanna and her husband. Needless to say that – although a bit grey and rainy – the nature and surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The several small villages –each one with its own charm and flair still invite for strolls and taverna visits. Speaking of food – Istria never disappoints: amazing food and wine. Novigrad is just 2à minutes away – a small village directly at the sea. Trieste is only 45 minutes away – inviting for big city flair and Italian coffee and shopping experiences. House Kalin itself is a perfect location and venue for 2-4 people. My wife and I were alone with our little dog. A small garden with an amazing view over the valley and olive trees gave us right from the start the “vacation-feeling” we were looking for. House Kalin is well maintained and modern equipped. Dishwasher, TV, hot water cooker, big living area with cozy couch, two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and washing machine – we had nothing left to wish for. Suzanna contacted us before via WhatsApp with the exact coordinates for the house. Getting there is via rural streets – even though we had a GPS in the car, the last 200 meters (yes, 200 meters 😉) are a little tricky. Suzanna waited for us at the gate and welcomed us with open arms. She gave us a tour through the little house and the garden – explained the surroundings. And how happy we were that her husband already lit the fireplace for us – cozy, warm, romantic. The warm, clean, and cozy house was our hub for the 10 days we spent here in early December. We really had a great time and sure plan to come back in summer to again enjoy Istria. If you are looking for a winter escape that is not too cold and snowy – you sure find this here.
