La Palma Loft Located in the Heart of Catania

It looks like in the pictures, everything was very clean, the bad was grate, the owner was very friendly 10/10

Everything was perfect, apartment is close to city center, equipped with all amenities you may need. Maria was so kind and made a check-in and out easy and straightforward.

The apartment was clean and well equipped. Also the host provided water, juice, coffee and some breakfast pastries. The bed was big and comfortable. The check in was easy as it was automated. The apartment was close to the center

I was very disappointed by my stay in this property... When I was booking I specifically searched for facilities with parking available, as I would be having a rental car. Even though parking was mentioned as an amenity, what the host meant was that you could park your car on the street, if you could find a spot, there was not a dedicated, SAFE, parking space... You had to park on the narrow street outside. As a result I parked my car in front of the apartment the first night and in the morning I found it scratched from back to front, resulting in 700€ of damages... The rest of the nights I parked in a private parking lot to avoid further damages... Another huge problem was the noise... The apartment had a metal door and the noise from the street could be heard loud... It was as if you were outside... Also noises from the above apartment could be heard... Also a great discomfort was a street vendor coming on the street by bicycle everyday at 9.00 AM, which was blasting music on his speakers and ringing a bell constantly to alert the neighborhood of his presence. Lastly some other issues where that the internet wasn't working, neither the TV. In my opinion for this price range this stay fell way below expectations...

Our stay at La Palma Loft was without a doubt amazing. Maria, the host is extremely nice and friendly, helped us and answered any question we have had right away. The loft is located in the centre of Catania (10 minute to the main square), with a lot of pubs and restaurants nearby, with possibility for parking in front of the building, on the street for free. We are very meticulous about hygiene and overall cleanliness when we travel but this place outgrown our expectations. Everything seems pretty new, appliances were offered, such as washing machine (with detergents), air conditioner, coffee maker (with coffees and brioches), refrigerator (with a bottle of water and juice in it). Maria also helped us with the transfer from airport for a fee of 20€.

Excellent location, ckean and compact with all needed amenities. Fantastic frienndly host eho couldn't have been more accommodating. Perfect for 2 looking to explore the city from a cebtral spot. Thank you Maria.

I am so sorry to have to write this review the way I do but I have to allow other people know the issues there. The apartment is lovely and with regards to location, ease to get into Catania, pick up from buses etc. it is great. Our host Maria laid on buns sweets etc but I do wonder if that is in compensation for the issues we found. Before you book here, look at the other reviews and the neighbour comments..... I was a bit pee'd off when Maria suggested we put in earplugs so she obviously knew of the problems .Seriously you have to question do I want a relaxing apartment or really annoying noise from the neighbours above.. or a convenient close to the centre . If anyone has a problem with this review I am happy for you to tell booking .com and they can ring me as I have the videos on my phone of the neighbours moving furniture around and the horrible scraping noises

The noise above from the neighbours, and the fact a number of other people have mentioned the problem in previous reviews and Maria does nothing about it apart from tell you put ear plugs in, and then tells you how mortified she is by it after she has taken your money. We moved out a day early.. what she did not offer when we told her we had done this was a refund for that one night. She made herself to be the victim
