"We had an excellent time at Lupine Cottage and would definitely stay there again."

10.0

It was self catering and the location was excellent. The cottage was perfect and there was everything there when needed.

There was nothing we didn't like. It was perfect.

"Whitby has so much to offer and Lupine Cottage is ideally placed to enjoy it."

9.0

The property was spacious and very well-equipped, especially the kitchen. Three double bedrooms (we didn't use the twin-bedded attic room) with very comfy beds ready made-up for our arrival. Excellent shower, TV and wi-fi plus books and board games for all ages. Great location (above a tapas bar!) with interesting shops, pubs and eating-places all around. Just 5 mins walk downhill to Whitby's famously scenic harbour. Hosts provided permits for on-street parking within easy walking distance. (Lupine is on the left side of the street photo. Other photo shows view from steps up to St Mary's and Abbey ruins on the S side of the harbour.) Interested to see where some of my Whitby mariner ancestors lived in Henrietta Street. Hope to re-visit next year.

Could be a bit noisy on the street outside, though all went quiet once the pubs closed. The stairs are quite steep, so it may not suit guests with mobility issues (but that probably goes for much of Whitby!)
