Comfortable, spacious house in a green oasis close to the center of Funchal. Beautiful views from balcony and garden. Excellent communication with Adelino, the host. Cleaning service for free twice during our 15 night stay. The kitchen has all you need to cook at home. Two bathrooms, both very convenient. If you love nature, gardens, and would nevertheless like to be close to town, than this is the place for you. A car would be convenient for the way up. Busstop and bakery around the corner. Do visit the vast orchids garden Boa Vista, literally next door.

A big beautiful villa with a large plot of land so even near the centre of Funchal you have privacy. A big grass terrace with loungers and a grill. A well stocked kitchen. Private parking.

One of the bedrooms had a private bathroom that wasn't separated by a door, just an open wall. It felt a little strange. Good for showers and brushing your teeth, not so good if you need to use the toilet.

Beautiful location, great hospitality. Close to city center. 3 rooms with beds. Very quiet and peaceful. View of the ocean. Its just stunning.

Nothing. There is a taxi app called bolt. Use it if you can't handle the hills. We sure did. The Netherlands is flat so we were not used to these hills. We want to come back. Its just everything we always wanted.

A gorgeous little oasis only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Funchal. Having the outdoor space with such a lovely view was a real bonus. Adelino and his father are great hosts and so helpful.

There is no air conditioning but this is not unusual for Madeira.

Perfect place to stay in Funchal. Very friendly host. Short distance to the city center, but nevertheless a quiet place, with a spectacular view.

We did enjoy the stay, thank you very much. Spacious, clean house with everything you need, beautiful terrare and privacy.

Not a complain, just possible point for improvement: the location of the property shown on the booking.com map is not the right one, in fact the house if up to the steep hill, about 5 min by car. This is important to know for those who plan to walk by foot to the center. Maybe this can be rectified? Also, it is a bit complicated, for example, to call Bolt/taxi as the house does not have a proper address (if I understood well). Also, there were loud sounds made by frogs outside and it was disturbing even with windows closed at night. But I understand the owner can hardly do anything with that.
