Loved the residental area with the local citizens. Apartment is spacious, quiet, 15 minutes walk to the city center. Big supermarket is open 7 days a week, big range of fresh fish, meat, vegetables and fruits.

The apartment was well situated in Funchal, just a short walk from the main parts. As you would expect, the walk does require a bit of uphill, so, best to get taxi there on arrival. It was very clean and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, very good value for money.
