Kingfisher Cottages, Langhoogte Farm

Adembenemende locatie, het uitzicht vanuit de cottage en van op het terras is werkelijk prachtig. Het huis is mooi ingericht en over alles is zeer goed nagedacht. De hottub was geweldig, zeker met het uitzicht. Vanaf de cottage kon je een aantal mooie wandelingen maken en genieten van de prachtige zonsondergang. De hosts waren zeer vriendelijk. We hebben genoten van dit unieke verblijf en hopen nog een keer terug te gaan.

The hot tub, verandah with gorgeous views, stargazing, lovely walks on the farm, comfy bed, and delicious trout products. A great quiet escape for nature lovers.

The toilet takes some getting used to, but I appreciate their sustainable approach to running the farm.

Einzigartige Unterkunft, in der man richtig entspannen kann. Es hat alles, was man so braucht. Küche, Grill und Hotpot einfach toll. Alles war super sauber und man fühlte sich direkt wohl. Die Umgebung ist ausserdem wahnsinnig schön zum wandern und entdecken. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Es ist alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail durchdacht. Einmalig!

Die Matratze war etwas durchgelegen und müsste man erneuern. Ebenfalls fehlte uns ein 2er Sofa vor dem Kamin, auf dem man Abends noch hätte entspannen können oder auch ein Mittagsschlaf machen. Die einzelnen Sessel luden und nicht wirklich zum länger verweilen ein.

Most spectacular views. Unit with a hot tub and the best location for star gazing. Nice stoep and braai. Trail routes and swimming in the mountain pools. Eco friendly location. Will definitely recommend it to a family of 4.

Not a fan of the eco loo, but it is part of the charm.

I like the fact that it’s remote and the views are spectacular. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and we loved the outdoor and indoor fireplaces. The outdoor hot tub was a bonus. Great trails for hiking and spending quality time with family. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The on-site shop was lovely with lots of goodies.

I have to adjust to the eco-toilet system but it’s good to know that the owners have invested so much into sustainability.

Breathtaking views, beautiful cottage, well equipped and clean.

We had such a wonderful two nights here, I wish we didn't have to leave. Marco greeted us by their house, and their cute dog Annie. We bought some trout, olive oil etc and drove down to our cottage. We had Pine which is the closest to the mountain. We loved it, it had everything you might need and it was set up so perfectly. We used the hot tub both nights and we were able to see the stars so well, we even spotted the starlink trail both nights which was memorable! We really felt one with nature and we sat for hours just looking out on the amazing scenery. I 1000% recommend staying here. I recommend hiking to the swimming hole and visit the sun downer spot over the hill in time for sunset. Don't forget to bring some drinks and snack!

The only thing I would add is a fan to each room so we didn't have to share!

A Beautiful Slice of Heaven in the Mountains Kingfisher Cottages are an absolute gem! We loved everything about it—the stunning views, incredible star-gazing, beautiful hiking trails, and our boys had a blast fishing. If you’re looking to escape the noise and enjoy a true digital detox, this is the perfect place. That said, the Wi-Fi is surprisingly good—I even managed to get a bit of work done under the stars! We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.
