Casa Balada Santa Lucía with Parking by Cercana

The location is perfect. Everything is in walking distance. The house is lovely furnished and perfectly equipped. WiFi is super fast.

There is a building site and a discotheque next door. Especially in one bedroom you hear the music very loud. You should bring ear plugs.

The apartment is in a great location and reasonably well furnished. Of several apartments we stayed in during our trip, this was the only one that had a fully furnished kitchen you could actually use.

The only reason this place doesn't get one star is because the host provided (after much insisting) a partial refund. Even so, I would not recommend staying here. -When we arrived, there was literally a waterfall in the kitchen. The roof clearly had a leak, and we later learned the drain was clogged. If we hadn't arrived right when the rain started, the apartment would have flooded. Indeed, the kitchen wall was covered in mold, so this had clearly been an issue for a while. -We had to wait over two hours for someone to come look at the leak, and the host even had the audacity to suggest we shouldn't be upset because we were allowed to leave our bags in the apartment an hour early. Although we complained about the mold, it wasn't cleaned until the next day, which did wonders for my asthma. -There was loud construction going on all around us the entire time we were there. The host claimed this was a different property and there was nothing they could do, which would have made sense...until we realized they were building in the property's parking area! It started 8am every day and went into the evening. Fantastic background when trying to work remotely. -The apartment has no water pressure. It was almost impossible to take a shower and the washing machine took several tries to work properly. -The TVs were not connected to the wifi, so you couldn't cast if the TV didn't happen to have the streaming service you wanted. -The ACs took a very long time to cool down the apartment. It wasn't clear if this was because the host turns off the AC between guests (a good way to destroy furniture in a climate like Mérida) or because the ACs themselves were on their last legs. The worst part of our entire experience by far, however, was the host, who refused to take responsibility and told multiple bold faced lies over the course of our stay.

Beautiful apartment, good location, clean.

Showers and taps in bathroom had no power, just a trickle of water, and hot water was very intermittent.

Stylish and cosy decoration, lovely rooms with the most comfortable beds we had during our whole stay in Mexico. Fully equipped kitchen with quality kitchen ware. Nice terrace with cosy pool

We had some minor issues with the washing machine which were quickly addressed by the host

Perfect location and the host was very responsive when we had locked ourselves out of the house once and in sending round someone to help with the washing machine. Excellent communication

It wasn’t as clean as other places we have stayed at during our Yucatan Peninsula stay. There was ALOT of dust collected under the beds and the cup to put your toothbrush in the bathroom was dirty too. Washing machine needs a clean - it had issues with no water coming through because there was build up around the inlet pipe and the detergent drawer had solidified detergent. The whole thing needs a clean cycle. No drinking water provided. Coffee percolator stained and rusted.

Location close to Centro, walking distance to everything. Comfortable bed. Decor was nice.

Several heavy duty rock breaking - digging-moving - VERY NOISY equipment that was right out the back gate from 9-5 M-F & 9-12 Sat. This left a sandy grit on exterior furnishings. So much for returning to Casa for dip in the pool and a siesta. Only tables & chairs or beds for seating. Only one kitchen dish towel and no wash cloth.

A beautiful apartment just 10 minutes walk from the main square. We loved the comfortable beds and the stylish decor. There are lovely coffee shops and restaurants nearby. There is also a little pool and towels for a hot day which we didn’t use but looked lovely.

Unfortunately the parking is no longer available which is a shame because that would make it perfect for two couples.

Great location in Santa luzia 5 minutes from main square and paseo montejo. Spacious well equipped and nicely presented house.
