"Excellent stop over on the way to Albufeira on motorcycles"

10.0

It was a long hot motorcycle ride & it was fantastic to be able to have a dip in the pool. We stayed the night of the England game during the group stage & watched it in the local bar. We had breakfast in the local café, not the best but it was adequate. The hosts were amazing, very friendly & hospitable. Couldn’t fault the establishment, would definitely stay there again.

The property was lovely

Very friendly host. Spacious room; in fact an entire appartment. The entire facility incl. the bathroom is wheelchair-accessible (not that we needed it, but it’s good to see that it was taken care of). Nice surroundings.

I’m not sure what qualifies this place as a four-star facility. It’s all good and well, but it’s just a holiday home in the country side, nothing special about it. And for that, it was a bit pricy. The breakfast in particular was subpar. It’s a cute idea to let people have breakfast in a nearby café, but if the owner doesn’t speak a word of English and brings random food; most of which is not really what we would have liked, it’s not exactly the experience (in terms of choice and quality) of a four-star hotel. Suggestion to the hosts: Let people choose from a list of breakfast options the evening before and have that served (like you would in a real hotel e.g. if you have breakfast in the room). This would create less confusion, and less waste of food served but not eaten at the café. Suggestion to travelers: Book without breakfast and bring your own or go to Evora.

"Relaxing, quiet and comfortable lodging."

10.0

Great location in small village 15-20min to historic Evora and groceries. Ample kitchen cooking utensils, pots and pans for making meals. Lovely host.

We brought our own oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, etc. Others should know that these items are not provided.

"A great place to stay in a rural village setting."

10.0

Spacious well equipped rooms with a mix of modern and vintage furnishing that worked well together. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfy with quality linen. Located in a village which had a local café and village shop, with the friendly villagers happy to spend time chatting and being very tolerant of my terrible Portuguese. The room included breakfast which the local café provided, which we decided to take back to the accommodation, was massive with a whole loaf, big pot of Jam, a roll of local cheese, whole tub of butter and a bag of apples. Lots of outdoor space and a pool too.

Nothing all good.

Hearty welcome by Benedita. Apartment has a very nice appearance, is modern and the kitchen is fully equipped. Parking is easy and free on private property. Located somewhat outside of Évora, you should have a car available.

"Great host, Spacious accommodation."

10.0

Our host Benedita greeted us as we got out of the car, she was forewarned by her overactive but cute dog Leia; she recruited her daughter Rachel to translate as a go-between for the check-in (thanks Rachel). We later managed very well on our own with a mixture of English, Portuguese, Spanish and a bit of French. Benedita offered us the use of her laundry room for free which we graciously accepted on the spot. You just cannot wish for a better host, we felt that we were treated like family. Thanks Benedita, please say Hello to Luke (her other dog that I wish I could take home).

I wish Evora was less commercial.
