Our hostess and host were delightful and attentive. We managed to communicate very well despite our unfortunate lacking in the lovely Italian language (we are trying!) Accommodations are spacious, and immaculately clean. Very convenient location within short walking distance to many restaurants and grocery shopping. Beautiful old building tastefully and functionally upgraded within with tons of potential. Near new appliances. Reasonable walking distance to the Piazza del Duomo which is spectacular and Via Aetna for touristy shopping and restaurants. Temperatures up to 35 degrees made one think twice about a 15 minute walk. In September, (off-peak?) street parking is readily available although the parking meters with their mezza giorno are a bit of a pain.

Lighting could be better with options for more intensity and better atmosphere. Furnishings are very high quality (the hide-a-bed is great quality and quite comfortable according to the one who snores), if a bit sparse.
