"A historic town in Madeira"

Machico is the perfect place to explore Madeira. The town is peaceful and quiet with historic buildings. There are excellent restaurants and an artificial sand beach with showers and a changing room. There are two supermarkets within walking distance of the Grannies House. Machico is located almost near the airport, but we didn't mind the planes. They didn't fly at night. It was nice to watch them with the kids from the beach. The accommodation was very comfortable. Modern, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of bedrooms (4) and bathrooms (3). Behind one bedroom is a small balcony with seating. We appreciated parking in the private parking lot at the end of the street opposite the post office (R. de Ribeirinho). Dina was a very nice host and solved every problem we had, for example when one afternoon the water stopped due to an accident in another street.

The attic bedroom was hot in the summer, but we didn't use it. The town beach was sometimes a bit crowded.
