Dunsley Chapel at Sandsend

A beautiful property, nicely furnished, and very spacious. It was clean and well equipped with ample cooking facilities to accommodate our party of 10.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property. However to improve the facility a top tub would be lovely.

This property was located in the most beautiful setting. The property itself was beautiful. It’s a shame about the cleanliness.

On arrival at this property there was a number of issues primarily the cleanliness of the property appeared that the house had not been hoovered and there was mud and dead insects in various rooms of the house. Also the kettle was heavily scaled which meant no drinks were able to be made and I had to purchase a new kettle . There was a log fire due to the size of the house, but there was no logs. I contacted host and stay who manage the Booking and the service was terrible. No one responded back to follow it up the following day after I spent the whole evening cleaning the property myself. when I did get an update they said that they will send housekeeping a day before I leave. They could not provide me any details on where the logs were. This was really difficult as we had an elderly person staying with us for this trip, the property had a number of cobwebs, dead spiders, hair on the sofas, cigarette butts on the windowsill a disused mop left outside of the property and balloon ends from the previous stay. This could’ve been resolved a lot quicker and more efficiently however the host and stay service was appalling.

Beautiful converted property with large open plan living area, in a peaceful rural location and near to the beach. Early complementary check in was appreciated.

Some areas in need of a thorough deep clean together with a comprehensive departure day clean. Damp issue/ heating not working in the upstairs bathroom. Repaint needed of high traffic corridor areas. The twin room is a box room with beds pushed up against cold external walls not reflective of the size nor standard of the other bedrooms.

We didn't, it was utterly filthy and we left the property early.

The whole place was dangerous, dirty, moldly, unhygienic and needs closing down, renovating and repairing. Booking.com. and host and stay did nothing to rectify any of our issues and we left after 2 days because it was making members of the party ill and I don't see why I should have to clean a property that cost us over £3k to stay in. There was faecal matter around the toilets, cobwebs everywhere, thick dust and grease. Hair in the cutlery drawers, old food and debris on the sofas, the outside yard was overgrown so couldn't exit through the door. Soap scrum on the taps and shower walls, bogies on the bunk beds and bedding. It was disgusting.

toilet in upstairs bathroom was broken on arrival and down stairs double en-suite wasn’t cleaned at all well prior to arrival . agents and cleaners need to do a better job !

very cold downstairs first evening downstairs twin freezing had to buy an electric heater for second night insufficient hot water for number of guests……

The house was very clean and comfortable

Just a tiny thing but we didn't have any tea bags! Appreciate it was over the holiday season though.

Beautiful building, lovely country setting. Main living area very nice open plan. Lovely decor and tastefully furnished throughout.
