The Nest

The Nest is one of the best rental houses we've ever had! It was so clean and well equipped, it instantly felt like home. The view on the Dartmoor NP is absolutely breathtaking and even with bad weather the view is just spectacular. The location is very convenient if you want to visit different places in Devon. Parking is available right in front of the house. Our host Felicity was just wonderful and greeted us on arrival. Although, she lives just next door she gave us the privacy we were looking for. The Nest is equipped with everything you could possibly wish for (books, DVDs, local maps, coffee maker, kettle, everything you need to cook and even an electric grill on the terrace). Thank you for letting us stay at the Nest, it was a pleasure and we will definitely be back!

The kettle could be replaced since it has a strong smell like plastic. Other than that it was just perfection.

Perfect accommodation, amazing views, really well equipped and clean. A great location for accessing all of the South Devon beaches and coast path walking routes. A lovely host, very welcoming and easy to contact. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Superb. Stunning views, plenty of outdoor space on the decking area, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, really well equipped, very quiet, perfect for a relaxing break. Excellent location with the coastal walks and beaches between Plymouth and Salcombe all outstanding. Highly recommended.

The house had everything we needed, to cook, relax, different board games, lightwelcomerefreshments Thank . The beds were comfortable. Very clean house, had the countryside views and we enjoyed the walks to Modbury Town. We forgot our toothpaste at home, surprisingly, the host provided toothpaste, toothbrush and everything needed for our needs. I would highly recommend the Nest.

Beautiful cottage. All what you need. Lovely surroundings. Peaceful and tranquil. Easy and close enough to get to places. Very clean and comfy. Like a home from home. The owners are really helpful and friendly.

Nothing we didn't like.

Our home for a week has a great deck with view over the beautiful hills and fields of South Devon. The entry side had pleasing roses and other flowers lining the gravel walkway. Inside is very attractive, fresh, comfortable, well appointed and immaculate. All the gadgets and appliances are provided. The host has made an excellent collection of maps, guides and books to enhance the exploration of the area. She also included a welcome basket of tasty Devon treats, including scones and clotted cream.

Everything was superb. My only trouble was the narrow roads everywhere in Devon.

There could have been a clock on the wall.

Relaxing location, lovely owner who helped us find the property at night. Really nice welcome amenities and everything we needed on hand.
