Billholm Riverside Retreat

Absolutely wonderful. I could not rate it higher. Hosts was amazing and location beautiful. Nothing can be, or needs to be improved. Its been the best property I have stayed at in this location and I have have stayed at some good properties. I will be returning. Thank the hosts for having us.

Nothing to dislike.

Excellent mixture of relaxed atmosphere, luxury and surrounded by nature. Hosts friendly and helpful. Very quiet, comfortable, spotless, great facilities and interior design, spacious, nature views including local hens and a hare, and amazing stars at night. Easy access to nature of Eskdale, traditional local town of Langholm and Tibetan Buddhist centre of Samye Ling - great variety!

-prachtig huis -mooie rustige omgeving - lekkere bedden -leuke details voor de kinderen, heel attent -fijne douche en bad -grote tuin met overdekte zit met vuurplek en bbq -direct aan een riviertje met een strandje, heerlijk voor de kinderen -de kinderen vonden het ‘helpen’ met verzorgen van de kippen heel leuk -en natuurlijk de attente hosts!

Lack of side tables in lounge and waste bins in bedrooms

Fabulous accommodation , just over the border into Scotland . Stunning scenery rivers and valleys yet only 2.5 hours from Manchester . The house , its grounds, the river all has a sense of grandeur - large bedrooms -high ceilings , roll top bath, comfy beds, lovely bed linen and towels, country kitchen, all tasteful and high end . Spotlessly clean and dog friendly. Gareth and Fiona are amazing hosts not intrusive, yet there if you need them. Langholm is just 15 min drive for pubs restaurants etc . Great food shop delivery service to the house , was so easy to arrange .The river side setting is so calming you just won’t want to leave . Slept like a log ! Just book it it’s fab !

The little touches that were made for my family. Lighting the fire on new years eve ready for us to bring in the bells. We had the most amazing stay, and will definitely be back summer.

Very well equipt accomadation everything you will need, very comfortable for us which was 4 adults, spotlessly clean, in beautiful surroundings. Not a single complaint. Perfect.

stunning a little off grid location just what we needed . river at bottom of garden perfect for SUP and cooling the dogs off too: every little details was attended too eveytoyoi could want or need was thought of. even fresh eggs from their hens
