Shire Cottage

Great location. Well equipped cottage

The twin room would benefit from a black out blind and curtains. This is due to the security light from the next property being on for most of the night.

Lovely location and we felt at home there.

I would have liked better quality pillows.

Quiet quiet location in the countryside, well located for where we wanted to be. Cottage appeared cozy.

Wifi very poor: unusable for proper browsing, let alone conference calls or Netflix etc. Only connectivity available in part of one room of the cottage. Professional management company made vague excuses about remote location when web search reveals that BT, Vodafone etc. offer fiberoptic broadband right up to the property's front door. Kitchen not very clean: cupboards, drawers and some utensils needed a proper wash. 1 full size towel per person for one week's stay is stingy Half a toilet roll on arrival is equally poor. Who travels with toilet rolls, or buys a big pack for a week? Complaints about the above were poorly dealt with or ignored by management company.

The property was very clean and cosy. There was plenty of space for the both of us and the heating came on very quickly. There is a reasonbly sized kitchen with plently of appliances and equipment.

Unfortunately there was something left int he bottom of the fridge from previous visitors that hadn't been cleaned up and it smelt quite bad.

The cottage was basic but cozy especially with the log burner on and we loved the quirky staircase. The Cotswolds is a great place to visit!

The kitchen could of been cleaner, it was dirty and sticky. The decor needs updating and the wifi connection is very poor but it is in the middle of nowhere i guess but i expected some signal. They need to sack off the housekeepers and supply more than just two halves of a toilet roll. Talk about Covid regulations 🙄

Cosy cottage, very well equipped and it made one feel like staying at a private home. Hosts have been very fast in communicating and everything was perfect.
