The Camel at Araiawa Raio Lodge Pukenui

Our hosts were very accommodating of our late arrival & made us feel very at home with lights & the heater on & the tv on to welcome us into the cosy space. Continental breakfast was the expectation but the generous addition of bacon & eggs was an extremely pleasant & welcome surprise after driving all day & missing dinner the night before. It was a very warm, comfortable stay & we'll certainly be back the next time we're in the far Far North! :-)

Just a note to say that no one was meeting us and that it was alright to go into the house, as I had to call out and see if anyone was in the place as instructed by BOOKING.com that someone would meet us at the property, otherwise NOT a problem I rang the hosts and they were very accommodating

everything you need is there, fully equipped kitchen and very nice gesture of hosts: coffee, tea, milk, eggs, bacon, butter, toast, juice and yoghurt! Tara even did our laundry ( machine is in their house)

Beds are to my personal taste too soft.

The space is big and cosy. Well equipped and the host is friendly.

Tastefully and comfortably decorated space with everything that we needed (including ingredients for a cooked breakfast 😊). Was a great place to unwind after a full day driving and sand boarding. Peaceful surrounds and just a short drive to view the Houhora Heads and Ninety Mile Beach.

Really couldn't fault the place. I couldn't find a washing machine or dryer at the accommodation as advertised (but I also didn't ask the hosts to clarify if there was one).

Really gorgeous place, very quiet location with a lovely view.
