The Avondale Guesthouse

I loved the ease of getting into the house, no stairs and a code for the door. Having a back entrance was very helpful when it came to parking.

One of my best experiences ever! Hosts were wonderful and communicative, and the price was incredible for how nice the place was. I would recommend this to anyone, and wish I could have a similar experience everywhere I go.

Very nice little place in a good location. Very clean and well cared for with all the necessities provided.

The bed in the back room was comfortable but a little too small for us, and there's a fair amount of light, though it was quiet. The middle room (same size) would likely be much darker and probably still quiet enough, but the front room is near the street and would probably be pretty loud.

Comfy beds and the place was decorated for the season, which was fun

Hard to find outlets in an old building, but we managed.

Logement agréable et fonctionnel, avec 3 chambres de taille similaire. Facilité du check-in et check-out. Hôte extrêmement disponible et accueillant (il a eu la grande gentillesse de faire quelques courses pour nous, venus pour courir le marathon de Chicago). Nous avons énormément apprécié cette attention. Quartier résidentiel calme et agréable.

Une localisation qui réclame un peu d’organisation et de temps pour rejoindre Chicago Downtown. Il faut prendre un bus (~15min) pour rejoindre Logan Square sur la Blue Line. Un léger déficit de casseroles / poêles de bonne taille et en bon état quand on souhaite cuisiner. Mais l’équipement de la cuisine reste par ailleurs très satisfaisant.

I would’ve liked a full length mirror somewhere. Unless I missed it.

Location was great! We enjoyed walking to restaurants and bars close by
