TN State Parks Open! Hikes, Waterfalls, Firepits!

It's so peaceful. That forest is beautiful, especially from deck.

Nice cabin close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park where we went hiking.

Bugs. Lots of dead bugs on fireplace mantle, window seal, carpet and kitchen counter. Live bugs on couch and bathroom counter.

Beautiful, peaceful, clean, very comfortable bed

It was comfortable and secluded but close enough to go places without having to drive a long distance.

Trash can was broken and it was reported as broken in a review over a year ago. Washing machine was broken. Didn't provide trash bags. Advertised as pet friendly with no pet fee but charged an extra pet cleaning fee that they didn't tell you about until the day of check in.

Very warm and cozy, felt like home.

The cabin was well stocked and perfectly furnished. The location was not far off the road but very private. It also was well stocked with literature for local state parks and attractions. I would not recommend it for a short term (one or two day) rental because the additional fees are not outrageous for a 5-7 day stay but are not cost effective for a short stay.

I was not pleased with the reservation process. I like to know all the additional fees before I start the reservation process. First I had to fill out the information for the booking.com website which resulted in charges. Then the realty company sent me another link which resulted in investing another 20 minutes answering their questions and additional charges. Then someone called from San Antonio, Texas and hit me up for additional charges. Originally, the booking.com website told me the charges would be approximately $164 for two nights but after all the additional charges it ending up being closer to $375 for two nights and they still have a pending on my credit card for an additional $250. The cleaning fee and the pet fees are not unreasonable for a 5-7 day stay but are not cost effective for a short stay.

The cabin was beautiful and in a beautiful setting. Very cosey and private. My wife LOVED the very well stocked kitchen. Hope to return to this place when we have more time to stay and really enjoy all that it had to offer. The only down side was the fact we had to leave

Nice comfortable place. Communicative staff addressed concerns in a timely manner. Loved the tongue and groove interior and thoughtful snack basket. It's a nice quiet place to relax. I think I only heard someone talk once and we were there for three nights. A stocked kitchen and close to lots of great sights and groceries in a short drive away. The 2 bathrooms were great to not have to worry about someone waiting on you. The patio and back porch wood slab bar were great places to take in the morning air over a cup of coffee. This was a great value and enjoyable stay overall for us. You are tucked into the woods but not lost in them. There is one other cabin in view but there is plenty of distance between us. It's hard to put a numeric value or enough words to influence an algorithm to explain the value of a place that is quiet so I would say if you value this like we do you should consider staying at this place!

As other reviewers have pointed out before, there are a few I would consider minor things that do detract from this nice place. Some things just don't work quite right. The garbage can foot pedal is broken. We were throwing away stuff a lot cooking meals and you instinctively press the foot pedal....oh wait I need to lift it up it's broken I forgot. Not a huge deal but small things that add up to detract from the "vibe" if you will. The patio lights only half of them come on, etc. There is no light on the range hood to see when cooking, you must rely on the recessed lighting in the ceiling. Please don't misunderstand me, this was a great place. I do believe I would go back but if you are expecting something where everything must be "so-so" you maybe should pass. For the value it is a gem but you must understand this going in. I understand there's a tradeoff and constantly fixing things that other people break costs which get passed to the end user.
