Casa De Gato Rustic Finca

We love to stay at 'Casa del Gato ', an amazing place for a holiday retreat. We didn't expect it like that, but while we stayed at the villa, we reconnected with nature, surrounded by amazing plants and wonderful gardens we didn't see anywhere else on the island, plus we jumped in the pool when we liked it. We love to cook in the massive kitchen our own food away from hotels and restaurants, at the bottom of the volcano, with amazing views of the ocean and other surrounding volcanoes.

It was a good choice and value for money; you never know, at the beginning, but we were amazed at the place, and we were sad to leave. The lovely keeper Martin did everything to accommodate us and give us information on where to visit Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Martin really is a great man; the kids like him, and we feel sad to leave him and La Casa del Gato behind. Perhaps we will be back next year. Lovely place to recharge and reconnect for a holiday break.

Location is perfect. The manager Martin is very nice.

We didn’t like the torn sunbeds and the view from the kitchen (piles of rubbish and dry flowers). It is a shame. But the owner doesn’t like criticism and will write you loooong story about everything;)

Excellent value. Absolutely great for a family. Very friendly, warm, rustic, has soul, feels like home. Great location. Small quiet neighbourhood, very strategic to explore the rest of the island. Walks straight from the property. Parking inside gate. Kids can explore, swim, play all inside property without ever getting bored (includes true hide and seek). Fruit trees and flowers make for an oase in an otherwise barren landscape. Excellent communication with the owner.

The house is really cosy and if you like to stay away from the touristic spots , this is wonderful place to relax . You got bbq and a nice patio / garden to eat and enjoy the warm evenings . The location is wonderful , exactly in the middle of the island , makes it so easy to see different places .

We loved the privacy! We completely switched off and chilled out as the property offers lots of outdoor space, a pool, a big kitchen, a very cool, authentic bathroom and an area for washing and drying clothes. Private parking, close to areas of interest and Costa Teguise, but far enough away to get peace and quiet 😊 Excellent value for money and ideal if you’re looking for an escape. Quirky and different which is what we loved.

We loved the property and would rebook if we ever go back to Lanzarote.

Owner provided precise directions to find the place, so we just followed the directions and find the place. Local representative of the owner was very helpful. We liked the style of this old house, plenty of space to sit with glass of wine or rum, nice plants in the yard, private yard, space for car parking. On the arrival house was a bit too warm, but that is not the reason to be disappointed - we opened windows and the problem was solved.
