Il Falconiere

This stay is one of a kind. The property was rich in history and charm, and we loved that the house and garden are built right up against the Castle walls of Vicalvi castle. The village is beautiful and quiet, but there are a lot of fun things to do in the area. And the hosts were amazing, so kind and welcoming, and with a long family history in the village.

The couple welcomed us with joy, showed us the place and gave us a personal tour of the house, the spice garden and the private fruit tree yard of the property, the apartment is beautiful, breakfast was waiting for us with a cake prepared especially for us with more surprises. was perfect Next time we will arrive for more than one night. We loved every second, plenty of space for our 2 year old and Gardner space to run around in. Monica made us 2 lovely cakes and gave us a lesson on herbs which was a such a personal thing. We loved ever second we spent here and would definitely come back.

This is a spacious, beautifully-decorated home with a large garden. Comfortable beds, quiet, a very functional kitchen (watch your head in the kitchen - "low bridge" like many traditional borghi homes), The host family was extremely helpful - meeting us when we arrived in Vicalvi, leading us to the home, offering to help carry luggage, helping us navigate the narrow streets, and providing us a wonderful fresh-baked cake for our breakfasts. If we could give Il Falconiere a rating of 11, or 15, or 20, we would! We had booked Il Falconiere at the last minute, as replacement for another villa which wasn't working out, and it turned out to be the best stay of our trip to Italy. My wife's first comment on arrival was "This place is *fantastic*!!".

I cannot recommend this enough, the host is friendly and helpful and made so much effort, the location is absolutely magical the town is charming and we had the absolute best time. Rooms are well equipped, beds are comfortable and the views are spectacular. Coffee is great, the hostess baked us a breakfast cake - delicious!! Location is simply breath taking

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Monica, Dominico, and a home baked cake,. The house sits up high in the heart of Vicalvi. It is kept beautifully clean with everything you could possibly need and more available. Great location for exploring the Valle di Comino.
