La Torre Nel Borgo

Magnifique appartement, plein de charme et très bien équipé. Je me suis sentie comme à la maison, abritée par les grands murs de la tour. L'emplacement est parfait, près de la gare et des boutiques.

I absolutely loved staying in this medieval tower whose walls were 1m thick and kept the appartment cool. The ancient structure/wall stones/wooden beams were integrated into the interior design and gave it a special touch. I felt a bit like Rapunzel. The appartment was furnished with a full kitchen, dining table, couch, bedroom and bathroom. All was well kept and very clean. The torre is centrally located and a short walk from the sights as well as about 10min to either of the 2 train stations. The communication with the 2 hosts via WhatsApp was easy & very friendly. I hope to come back next year for an extended stay!

I loved the area it's located in and the ease of getting there from the train station. The apartment was comfortable, only had one flight of steps to go up and was secure. It's located in the old part of town and close to all the attractions, bus stops and grocery stores as well as shopping.. Several nice restaurants in the area are within a short walking distance..It really was an enchanting area and the people of the town are nice and kind and helpful. I was on an extended trip in Italy and there's a phone store down the pedestrian street where I was able to get a phone plan and sim card for use while in Italy that I highly recommend..Very inexpensive and had all the data I needed for a very small monthly cost compared to a plan that I have in the United States.. Viterbo is a very international town and very Diverse.

These are things some may not enjoy, however for me they really weren't a problem..You must turn the gas for the stove on and off under the sink with the yellow lever..I used it daily and for me it wasn't a problem..In the bedroom at certain times of the day you can hear traffic below on the street, however it's a one lane, oneway street and it didn't bother me, although with the window closed you really couldn't hear anything..I enjoyed the window opened and it seemed busiest during the morning while kids were going to school..I actually enjoyed seeing the busy morning and it added to the ambiance..At night I never noticed any traffic and after 5:00 pm I heard nothing..The last day I noticed the water heater had turned off and that wasn't a problem for me but I'm certain it is a quick fix and people should communicate with the owner for information on turning it on, as well as the stove. I never turned the heat on so I can't comment on that, but a few mornings the floor was a little cold, so instructions for the heat would be something you might need in the colder months.. I will say I had planned to come back and stay at the apartment for another week at the end of my trip but I unfortunately had to cut my trip short and wasn't able to stay..I would definitely book this apartment again for a longer stay because I enjoyed Viterbo so much.. It's more of a college town vs a big tourist town, so while you can enjoy the medieval city with no crowds at a relaxing pace, you also can meet people who speak in every language and most spoke English..I even saw kids walking to school from the USA that had to be in either middle school or high school, so I assume there's international schools in the area.. It's really a great town.

I arrived on the day of a general strike, and was not sure when or even if I was going to be able to get to the property that day. My hosts were very kind and communicative the whole time and I was eventually able to get a train that arrived not too late, so even better

Perfect location, well equipped, spacious, cheap

The appartement is very spacious and well equipped, but dirty. The floor was full of dust and little pieces of dirt. The dishes weren’t done and there were hairs in the bathroom. The appartement is also extremely noisy, you hear everything that happens in the street. Also, to get the keys, you need the code to a box situated at the door. I told the owners at what time a would arrive a day in advance, and again the morning of my stay, but they sent the code just when I arrived, and I happened to have an issue with my phone so that wasn’t very practical. They should give you the code earlier

Excellent location right in the city centre. The owners were very well organised, even for the late checkin and early checkout. The apartment is inside a medieval tower and the style is very nice. The apartment has everything you could need and the kitchenette was quite well furnished.

The shutters on the bedroom windows would not close properly and let in a lot of light in the morning. The pillows on the bed were very large and very uncomfortable.
