Cottages at Woodlands, Appleloft

The cottage was spotless on arrival. Nothing for Gwen & Martin was too much trouble and we felt very welcomed. Beds were very comfortable and every room was a delight. Location was perfect (directions provided made it a cinch to find) as we basically needed a hub to get around Dorset but were secluded enough to keep our kids settled.

Nothing to dislike.

Surpassed expectations. 2 good sized adult rooms, third bedroom really only suitable for kids, but fine for us. Living and kitchen areas excellent, outdoor area perfect and interesting for our boys. Really well located, 10 minutes to Monkey world and nice pubs, within half hour of poole and lots of the purbeck attractions. Can't fault it.

Lovely spacious 3 bed cottage. Situated in a very quiet rural area. But with easy access to the surrounding attractions. Great hosts, with a thoughtful welcome package on arrival.

Lots of space, comfortable, clean and lovely welcome by Gwen and Martin the chickens were gorgeous too!

Excellently appointed cottage. Clean and cosy. Well situated for local attractions. Thoughtful welcome 'hamper' including essentials like coffee and wine. 😉

Lovely cottage, very comfortable - absolutely perfect for a relaxed family holiday! We felt very welcome; Gwen and Martin were wonderful hosts. Location was super: quiet but close to lots of things to see and do. Staying ‘home’ was lovely too: the cottage is very well equipped and outside there is wildlife to discover (including the not so wild hens).

We cannot think of anything that needs improvement. Even the weather was perfect! ;-)

Gwen and her husband were delightful hosts. The communication was great and the property had everything you may need during your stay. Oh, and ask them for some eggs, the best ones we’ve ever had!

Really lovely location and very close to local attractions. The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owner was welcoming and friendly. We would definitely recommend this property.
