I loved the place and everything around. Absolutely beautiful territory and everything available in house. I liked the style. Clean property and amazing hosts, very open and ready to support, providing unexpected extras. I loved my stay and for sure would come back.

Great place, nice and quiet. Loved the swimming pool. Jeanette and Peter made us feel so welcome! Good tips and a nice bottle of wine upon arrival.

great location for exporing and easy drive to airport for early morning flight

The location was perfect for the Obidos lagoon and Obidos town itself. In fact you are only a short drive to beach locations such as Paniche and many more coastal locations all within 30 minutes. The location is particularly good for birding around the lagoon and coastal cliff locations. Plus you are in excellent habitat to hear and see European Nightjars.

This Quinta is owned by a Dutch couple, Jeanette and Pieter. She was there to greet us on arrival with the keys. She opened the door to our cottage and showed us around and explained where everything was. She had already put instruction manuals for the dishwasher etc on an app. She took us to the swimming pool where we met Pieter. Jeanette is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for her, Pieter is more of a back ground person but very pleasant. The garden surrounding our cottage was full of flowers and with plenty of garden furniture. We sat out every morning for coffee, it was lovely. The Quinta is close to Obidos which is great for eating out, nearby beaches, shopping centres and petrol. We had our own car which made life very easy and there was parking outside our home. This is a very nice property and we really enjoyed our fortnight here.

Our only concern was that the cottage felt damp and this made our clothes damp and cold. There is central heating but it was not on, apparently the temperature had not dropped enough for it to be effective. We were supplied with a very efficient electric heater and although the outside temperature was still mid 20's by 4.00pm the sun had gone over and the temperature quickly dropped. This is late September into October. In the mornings the windows were running with condensation which is a real shame as everything else was delightful.

The building is a beautifull conversion and Jaennette and Pieter have done it with a sustainable mentality and touch. It's so nice, and they are super friendly, approachable and non intrusive.
