Alpine View - a cosy Aviemore House

The property is excellent and we have booked to stay again. Rooms and space are excellent.

Couple of niggles: Principal / Master Bed is in dire need of a new mattress. A topper has been added since our previous stay but the comfort lets the property down as other bedrooms excellent. Garden - grass was overgrown until 12 days into the stay and was therefore a bit unfriendly for our children to play in

Easy to access location, the unit was clean with a kitchen full of utensils. My niece particularly liked the bunk bedroom, it contained an arcade unit and was decorated to the preference of a child.

On a very minor note, I believe the shower drains need cleaning, water was not draining out quickly enough. It's a usual maintenance activity for any shower drain.

The house was very well equipped and in a almost new condition

very comfortable beds. good showers. lots of kitchen itinerary. parking space.

garden space a bit exposed/overlooked but will become more private as trees grow.

The beds were comfy and the house was clean and tidy. The place was new and kept in good repair.

I had to pay a £300 deposit for damages which was ridiculous and certainly above what I'd expect for a place like this. There were no cloths or cleaning sponges in the kitchen and also no tea towels. We went and bought our own as we were worried not cleaning the kitchen would lead to our deposit being kept. There was no spare toilet roll left so we also had to buy this when we ran out on our week long stay. The wheelie bins were overflowing when we arrived so we had to leave a bin bag in the laundry room and had recycling stacked on the side until they were emptied later in the week. Overall this was not the exceptional stay advertised and in hindsight we should have just made do with the yha. At least there they don't demand huge damage deposits.
