"Lovely rural location."

Excellent location for exploring the Catlins. Loved the views from the windows and the ever changing Light over the valley. The property was very well equipped and was very much a home away from home.

The bedrooms and bathroom could have been heated more.

"An exceptional experience in a wonderful house with an amazing view"

It is a wonderful lone big house, looks new, on a hill overlooking a lake, beautiful scenery. The owners are very nice. It is a very spacious and quiet. Great fire place with plenty good fire wood. It was a great pleasure staying there. We had all the equipment and appliances that we needed, including washing machine and a dryer. Tips for guests: make sure you arrive there in daylight to make it easier to notice signs leading to the place. Read the owner's instructions and guidance well before arrival, including the WiFi code in case you need to call the owner with WiFi before you enter the house. Please be aware that there are no shops in the vicinity. It is highly recommended to buy your groceries in advance. The only restaurant which is within a reasonably short drive - closes early. The nearest food shop is a 15-20 minutes drive away, doesn't have much stuff and closes early. There is a pub near this shop which closes at about 10pm, to be verified. The kitchen closes much earlier. It is better to learn the area well in advance.

We arrived after dark and had some trouble opening the key safe as we were not experienced with this kind of facility. The owner helped us nicely on the phone and the problem was solved on the spot.

Amazing property for the price! Beautiful location, 10 minute drive from Curio Bay. House exceeded expectations and was very clean. Can’t wait to come back!

The driveway up to the house is coarse gravel and the car had problems for the final 20 metres
