Le case di Ninni - Monfenera

Big, comfy, clean and good location for people who dont want to be in centre and close to central station.

It is on the groundfloor and glass is not transparent so you dont see outside. The space in front could have furnitre for eating out n hanging out.

The apartment is located very close to the historic center of Palermo, so you can get everywhere on foot. There is a Palermo Palazzo Reale-Orleans train station nearby where you can catch the train from / to the airport. Our room was clean, kitchen well equipped and the owner helpful and polite.

High humidity in the apartment

I really liked the apartment itself. I was looking for a place with 2 bedrooms as travelling with my partner and his family and I have to say that the environment is very well looked after. When landed we texted the property via booking and they provided us of an address nearby the apt to hand us the keys. The guy waiting for us was very kind and helpful. The apt was super clean and modern and walkable distance to the main landmarks of Palermo.

I wasn't aware that the "Apartment Gelsomino" was at the road level. Although the apartment is very nice, I have to admit that we all really really really struggle to sleep as it is situated in a street where at night it gets so busy with cars and scooters passing by. Literally they pass by the window and door. Plus every single time we were opening a sink, going to the toilet, or having a shower we would hear a loud sound from the in-walls pumps lasting for at least 10min each time. This wasn't the best, especially at night.

Overhall, our stay in Le Case di Ninni was enjoyable. We stayed in apartment Gelsomino (next door to apartment Pomelia). The apartment is beautiful inside! It is well located (15 min on foot to Palermo Centrale station, 20/30 min on foot to most attractions like Vucciria Market or Via Maqueda and 30 min to the Marina). The price is fair. The 3 hosts of the apartment are extremely kind. Flavio always answered our messages quickly. Carmelo and Tony delivered us more towels and an extra duvet just 15 minutes after we asked them. Tony greeted us everyday with a smile on the street! Grazie mille, Tony! We arrived late and Flavio send us all the information to do our self check-in (there is the option to use a safe box with a code). He also asked us to message him to make sure we arrived well and everything was OK. The house is very cosy! If you search for the Gelsomino apartment, the photos are very precise. The 2 bedrooms have good dimensions. The beds are large and for us the mattresses and pillows were confortable. In the apartment, when you arrive you will find water and capsules to make coffee. You will also find all the kitchen essentials besides the microwave, in our opinion (plates, cutlery, pots and a pan). The fridge is big and has a freezer. We also found salt and some spices in the kitchen cabinets. The oven and stove are perfect for small meals. The wifi works perfectly and the TV has more than 100 channels! The bathroom is spacious. The shower has good water pressure. (I'm sorry for the bad quality pictures of the room and kitchen, they were taken from a video...)

I alert that there is no microwave! Unfortunately, when we used more than one stone hob at the same time, the electric border shut down. The house was clean, but in our opinion it needed a deeper cleaning. Sadly, we found some mold in the kitchen cabinets aparently because of the rain that infiltrated in the building days before our arrival. In Le Case di Ninni, you will find a broom, mop, sponges and cloths in the apartment. Nevertheless, it would have been great to have some cleaning products in the apartment besides the dishwasher soap. Unfortunately the water in the bathtub doesn't warm as much as we like it, but it may be enough for those who like colder water. We would have also appreciated if we had found a shower gel bottle instead of the samples (6 samples for 3 people) because we had to use all our products and buy some more during our one week stay.

The property was really clean and well prepared for check in. The owners are very friendly and they make sure you are welcomed. Kitchen has all the facilities for cooking, plus iron and hairdryer. Very convenient!

In overall I had a positive experience, but beware of street noise. I would recommend taking earplugs for sleeping for this trip.
