The appartment was a bit run down, sad and unloved with no attention to detail. Not cosy, no lampshades, unpleasant white artificial light, poor curtains, uncomfortable matrass, ugly plastic cover on kitchen table, broken toilet seat, one sliding door missing in shower cabin, it took 10 minutes at least before the shower was warm, internet connection was extremely poor so we had to use our own hot mobile hot spot connection, not possible to work or stream with this poor WiFi connection, the owner did not seem to be very involved or concerned in tenants issues. She was only communicating about paying tourist tax ( which we finally paid after thinking it was already included in the price). The small balcony on the side opposite a building in front has no view. There is some traffic noise from cars passing by.

The town itself is well located, 40min from Traomina and 55min from the Etna alpine guide refuge and car park where all excursions start. The apartment is at walking distance to all amenities. We loved the view over Mount Etna from the kitchen's balcony and the old fashioned marble topped furniture who made us feel like we were living with a local family. Rooms are big including the bathroom. Overall good value for money.

Only one thing let us a bit down in this otherwise charming apartment. Really noisy with busy traffic up until late at night (midnight) as the bedroom is at the corner of one of the main streets in town which is a one way long straight street, so cars tend to speed up at night (we stayed 3 nights on weekdays and it was the same every night) and the windows are wooden framed glazed of a certain age I think. I knew it could be noisy when I booked given the location on a street but I have to say that I didn't expect it to be that noisy. I guess it is okay for some people though.

everything was as presented in the pictures. the balcony had a nice view over Etna. we enjoyed our stay.
