Great breakfast delivered daily by the host. Great hosts, helping with booking activities and providing lots of useful information. Great location by the castle.

Perhaps the electric burner needed fixing - we stayed in late December, and we could have done with 24h heating to keep warm.

We loved everything - beautiful town and amazing apartment in the very old part of town next to the church. Location can't be better and please don't be surprised when navigation wants to bring you to the church. This is exactly the place where you will park your car :) Apartment by it self is beautifully decorated and charming with all you may need. Ticked all our boxes and much more

Super location in ancient town

Beds were comfortable.

Host could have confirmed our ETA via booking.com. We had trouble finding the property and had to phone host. Very difficult to open door to get in as the lock doesn't disengage easily. Could do with air conditioning unit/s as the electric fans aren't nearly as efficient cooling house on a hot day. Unable to use electric hob, instructions would be helpful. Some electric power sockets in bedrooms didn't work. Loose dog and dog pooh near front door. Adjoining and neighbouring houses are abandoned waiting for someone to renovate them.

The location is absolutely fantastic. 1min walk from the Castle (do yourself a favour, go and visit it along with the museum, they are hidden gems) you can leave the car for free on the square in front of it. The property has everything you need and feels cosy. Air con is not needed as even in the midst of the July heatwave the nights are chilly and leaving a gap in the window grants you a fresh night, which are noiseless. Coffee pods for a free espresso are a plus (who said there is not such thing as free lunch?) Also, the breakfast is superb. The owner is a young man will help you with everything you need. Communication was easy and discreet on WhatsApp.

Everything about this property was top notch: the furnishings, the beds, the shower, the kitchen. Joao brought us a basket of breakfast every morning that was beautiful and incredible. Very thoughtful attention to details! Plus Joao was so friendly and helpful. He greeted us at the door on our arrival and made suggestions for places we might visit. We did a 10k hike that he recommended and it was really enjoyable. I really can’t say enough about him and about the place (did I mention that it is right next to the castle??)! Highly recommended!!!

The location was great, we were in the centre of Sabugal and right next to the castle. The area was quiet and we were able to park easily next to the castle. The check-in was very easy and the host was flexible. The place itself was cozy, clean and nicely decorated. The rooms were very comfortable and we loved the slate walls blending with the modern decoration. We didn't cook however the kitchen was well-equipped and it had everything needed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay! The host delivered a basket in the morning full of local products and everything was delicious. We will definitely book again next time we are in the area.
