Wilsons Cottage

A beautiful cottage, with lovely attention to detail, and comfortable beds. I liked the extra touches, such as the fresh flowers, and milk left in the fridge. It was exceptionally clean as well, a lovely place to stay.

Public transport links weren't great, so a car is needed. But that worked ok for us 😊.

It is about 8 minutes away from Falkirk, but an easy drive. I loved the quiet location...very peaceful. And I liked how the cows mooed us awake every morning! Really enjoyed the outdoor seating and the very modern kitchen with the clothes washer. Hot water and water pressure were excellent, obviously a lot of thought has gone into this place. Also, the Welcome Packet was very useful and thorough.

The photos make it look like you have a giant stone cottage to yourself, but you don't. There are neighbours directly overhead, and you can hear them walking around and talking. It's a small place, but it doesn't seem cramped due to the two bedrooms. There not a place to eat, but there is a foldable wooden table with chairs that serves the purpose. Not overly fond of having to strip the beds ourselves, but that seems to be the going thing these days. You also can't walk in the fields or along the paths like it appears you can from the pics (you're fenced in, and the paths are for bikes only). It's right on a farm, and at times it really smells like it, so just know what you're getting into!

Absolutely gleaming clean! Spotless. Loved the location on farm and for walking. 15 mins by car to town centre of Falkirk. Lovely smart kitchen with plenty of room to work.

I liked everything about the property

The views are wonderful. the cottage was comfortable and clean. Location was perfect with Canada Woods across the main road with walks all the way to Falkirk Wheel and the Roman Fort

the only downside was that whoever was upstairs had heavy feet and unfortunately was most noticeable at bedtime

The cottage is in a fantastic location - with walking and cycling options from the doorstep and within easy distance of Falkirk, Stirling, Edinburgh etc. Everything was incredibly clean and looked very new, really comfortable and great facilities all round. Key collection via keybox.
