Title: Terrible experience with Seaview Holidays and Booking.com Rating: 1/10 Our stay with Seaview Holidays, booked through Booking.com, was extremely disappointing. The resort reeked of a harsh chlorine-based cleaning product — the smell was so overpowering that we couldn’t even stay in the room for five minutes. We tried to move to another property on the same resort, but everything was fully booked. We had no choice but to check out immediately and file a complaint. The response we received was dismissive, claiming the property had been “adequately cleaned” and offering only a small discount on a future stay — which we will definitely not be using. Booking through an intermdiary such as Booking.com for the Isle of Wight turned out to be a huge mistake. It’s now referred to as “Isle of Shite” in our household. A word of advice: never pay upfront, no matter how good the reviews look — what others consider “acceptable” may not meet even basic standards.

"I booked two four-bedroom and one two-bedroom houses. The only staff member was rude and kept asking if we had extra gue"

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The only staff member on site was quite rude and repeatedly asked whether we had more guests than what was booked. I had to explain several times that we were within the booking limit, yet they even mentioned they might visit at night to verify. This made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I also felt that we were not treated fairly, possibly because we are from an Asian background, which was very upsetting. In addition, the shower water was cold, and we couldn’t properly shower for two days. The shower system itself was also not user-friendly, which made things even more difficult. I hope you take this feedback seriously and improve both the service and facilities so that future guests can have a more comfortable and welcoming experience.
