"Our stay was just perfect."

We liked the property very much and the scene was great. We traveled 2300 km so it was just amazing.

There was nothing we did not like everything was just perfect even the donkeys were friendly

"Beautiful, quaint house with the cutest donkeys for company!"

We loved this beautiful house right opposite the cutest donkeys and ostriches. What an amazing find in Calvinia. Highly recommend this place. Our host, Karen, was fantastic, giving us a very thorough tour of the premises. Loved every minute.

Just a couple of things, but nothing that detracted from a perfect stay: The ceiling fan in the lounge doesn't work. Luckily it was cool enough without it. The lights in the lounge are extremely bright, and cannot be dimmed. We used the bedside lamps for more subdued lighting and switched of the main lights. Despite the above, it's still a 10 out of 10.

The house was very clean, and well equipped. The donkeys were beautiful, and it was a treat to interact with them.

"The place to stay"

From the moment our booking was confirmed I was kept up to date with messages about Donkieshoek as well as drive safe. Made us feel extra special and welcome. The house was clean with everything and more that you need for a relaxing stay. Thank you Karin we will definitely see you again
