Considering how cold it gets, the aircon etc. to warm up everything was such a great aspect. It was spacious and clean which is something that I value.

There was no option for breakfast which is one thing we would have appreciated seeing how early we had to leave and how far we had to drive. There are not any places on the way for hours to have breakfast. Even a take away breakfast basket with muffins, cheese, cold meats etc. would have been great. The shower was not the greatest and did not like the weird textured slip mat in the shower.

The facilities were great for a family stay. Lovely and spacious and very comfortable couches and dining table.

Lovely space and quiet

Space galore, lovely braai area and a comfortable, warm bed - 10/10!

Everything we needed was there. They also provided us with a camping cot for our baby. We were very grateful for the electric blanket in the cold Karoo winter and slept very well.

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean, in a quiet street with lovely views out across the surroundings at the back. Hendrina welcomed us and was very hospitable and accommodating. The self-catering unit had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight experience, including electric blankets on the bed, hot water and great water pressure in the shower, coffee, tea and fresh milk. We could park our vehicle right outside the unit and although we did not use the braai facilities, there is an amazing braai area and verandah with a table and seating. Highly recommended for anyone staying over in Calvinia.
