"Beautiful place; I would stay there again."

I stayed at Ceim House for 5 nights with two friends. It is in the most beautiful location! Every morning, we could hear a Coo Coo bird welcoming the day and watch the sheep in the field. The house is beautiful and clean. The owner met us there about an hour after our arrival and gave us all kinds of suggestions for things to do and see, which we did. She also brought us a home-cooked meal the first night for a small fee. After a long day of travel, it was nice to sit down to a good dinner at home to make the house feel like ours. The kitchen has everything anyone could need, and the house is spacious. It has two bathrooms with showers, and a garage with a pool table in it. Although we didn’t bring children with us, this location would be great for kids with lots of adventurous things to do outside. The drive up through the Gap of Dunlow is a gorgeous drive and since the sun wasn’t setting until about 10:30 pm, we had plenty of time to go play and get back up the Gap before sunset each day. I would stay at Ceim House again.

There is a washing machine in the garage that visitors can use, but I could not get it to work correctly. I ended up having to set it on each cycle separately and give it about 20 minutes on each one to get through a load. I may have been using it incorrectly, but I just couldn’t get it to work right for us. I would consider giving guests more towels. We each had one bath and one face towel for the five days. It rained everyday we were there so the clothes lines outside weren’t very useful for us. Consider leaving a few drying racks for guests to use indoors, as there were none.

Cute house on top of a long and winding road- we loved the journey up! And, there were sheep wandering around the yard. Lovely hostess. Very responsive.

The location of the house could not be better. The house itself is great, equipped with everything one needs for a holiday. The host is very nice and available whenever needed. Overall, a great experience.

Due to the location and irish weather the house is slightly damp. Its generally no problem and well taken care off. One little suggestion: The kitchen could be equipped a little better (sharper knifes, more pots and bowls etc.)
