Malthouse Farm Cottage Carriage

Location was great. And having taken our 9 year old grand-daughter along, the park across the road is a real benefit. The carriage was in a fenced area, having a big dog he was able to roam around.

It wasn't that we didn't like it, but maybe some hand wash in the shower room and a scourer for washing up. But only staying one night so there wasn't an issue.

Very cute and really nicely done. Lovely view. Felt private. Host was very accommodating.

Beautiful location. Easy parking. Fabulous quirky accommodation with everything you need, including milk for a cuppa. 2 pubs in easy walking distance. We had a lovely stay.

Beautiful surroundings and the carriage was wonderful, well equipped and cosy and comfortable.

It’s so quirky and on a field next to the farm I. A great quiet location with great views overlooking the pond and the cows . Jayne was a lovely host who came out to welcome us and stopped for a chat . The underfloor heating kept us warm and even when we turned it off it didn’t get cold . We loved the authenticity of the cart and bed was comfortable and so was the double pullout bed . Our frenchie cookie also felt cozy and loved it , great water pressure and would be great for families as there’s also a little adventure park near by and not to far from Alton towers .

Vent quaint and unique property in a great location.

We spent the weekend here with a 6 year old 2 year old. The children wanted to move into the carriage for good. It was a fantastic experience and we got so close to the cows each morning. This carriage was a 20 minute drive from Alton Towers. Jayne the host provided all info by text message and shared contact details if needed. Although not iscolated we felt we had privacy and wasn’t on someone else’s land as such. We felt comfortable in the carriage. It was chilly outside all weekend but the carriage was toasty and warm. Everything was provided including towels and fresh milk. There is a restaurant 5 min walk one direction and another pub/food place 5 min walk in the other direction. We liked this as we could leave the car at the farm and walk to dinner as we aren’t confident country road drivers especially at night. Please book this as a couple break or for an experience with younger children. A really bespoke experience. The views from the carriage of lane and country side was out of this world.
