Malthouse Farm Cottage Carriage

Everything! Jayne was an amazing host and the carriage was beautiful and peaceful. We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 3 and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I could not recommend it enough. Close enough drive to Alton towers, national adventure farm and waterworld (we done all 3 which were great but the highlight of the stay was family time at the carriage!). Local pub nearby, an amazing park 2 minute walk away. Just a brilliant location.

My only issue is that I booked 2 nights and not a week!!!

The location is amazing. So peaceful with stunning views. There’s a lovely park across the road. Really beautiful place and the children loved that it was an old train carriage!

We stayed at Malthouse Farm Cottage Carriage as a family of 4 (kids aged 3 and 11) on a recent trip to Alton Towers. It was 20 minutes from the park so easy to get there and back. The kids absolutely loved it, having the cows for neighbours was a highlight for them. The carriage had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Jayne was very welcoming and approachable. It was evident she cared about the experience of her guests. The fresh milk on arrival was a great touch. The outside space was great for the kids and it was lovely eating out breakfast at the outside table. Would highly recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We loved everything!

Really nice stay for 2 nights combining a work trip with a trip to Alton Towers Waterpark. The carriage is great with amazing views. Very comfortable bed and a decent shower room. As somebody that likes trains it was really good fun to stay here.

Loved most things, very minor things were, no cloth to wash up dishes, wine glasses were pretty dirty and it got extremely hot at night even with the door open but don't let these take away from a great trip.

We loved the carriage it was so quirky very clean very cozy we will definitely would like to stay again location is amazing. Host was really friendly can't wait to stay again ...💙💙💙💙

Lovely helpful and friendly hosts. Location to die for. Fabulous views over the lake and fields .very dog friendly. Very comfy bed and seating although not a lot of room to spare. A bit dusty under the bed and interior a little tired. Nearest pub quite expensive for a pint. Take a walk round the fishing lakes but make sure you can get out as gates are locked.

The views from the carriage was amazing!! Pond view, park view, cows in the field, cows at side of fence within reach! Was beautiful! No noise, nice & peaceful. Exceptionally comfy bed! Brill shower! Even a glass of fresh milk on arrival. Thank you!
