"Perfect in everyway, a truly lovely little gem nestled in the hills"

10.0

This is an amazing little place. I had such a lovely stay here, and as a woman travelling solo I felt safe. I wanted a beautiful place where I could write, and then go hiking. This fit the bill perfectly! I was here in early summer. It was comfortable, and I especially appreciated being able to wash my dirty hiking clothes in the washing machine, and then dry them on the towel rack before going onto the next part of my adventure trip! The hosts had left me a nice little bottle of local milk and some IRN BRU in the fridge for my arrival, and many suggestions for things to do in the area. It is unbelieveably quiet here, and so so peaceful. I would come again in a heartbeat. Hosts were really good about answering messages when I had questions (how to close the shades on the skylights? How to use the coffee maker?) and there were big fluffy towels and a nice comfy bed awaiting me after my adventures each day. The kitchen has all you need for making a good breakfast or dinner, and I so appreciated that. I made myself some nice hearty meals before hitting the trail some days. Dunvegan is very very remote, and you are not in the busy part of the Island. If that's what you like (and I do!) then this is the place for you. Be ready to drive a bit farther but also be away from the noise and crowds of Portree or other parts of the eastern side of the island. Be sure to drive up to see the Craigin "coral" white sand beach, and the Dunvegan Castle was so sweet and nice... I didn't not expect that! You will need groceries, so be sure to stop on the way in for your provisions.

It was hard to get my navigation in my stupid rental car to recognize the address here because it was so rural. I would advise anyone coming to write down directions ahead of time old school, on paper, and have them handy. If you arrive at night in the dark you will be glad you did! These roads are seriously rural. But that's a good thing! Just buy yourself an old school paper DRIVING map with detailed road instructions. Watch those videos about driving in Scotland... you will need to know how to navigate single track roads. But people are friendly and once you get the hang of it you will be fine!

"Beautiful house in the countryside, would stay again!"

10.0

The house is so lovely, it was our favorite place we stayed on our trip! Spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing, and the coffee was great. The host left recommendations that were super helpful - we never would have thought to make dinner reservations in such a small town, and Old School Restaurant was great!

"Great place to stay comfortably while exploring the Isle of Skye."

10.0

The location is perfect for exploring the area, The property had plenty of room, was comfortable, and had most everything needed, including a container full of coffee pods for the Lavazza Espresso machine.

The outside deck needs some love and finishing.

"Peaceful stay near Dunvegan"

10.0

This stay honestly felt like a dream! The interior is incredibly beautiful, and it's clear they thought of every single detail. There were even snacks and drinks waiting for us, which we highly appreciated. We had dinner on the bench outside, and it felt absolutely idyllic. The property is wonderfully peaceful and the view is breathtaking. I recommend this place 100%!

We had such a fantastic stay at the beach hut. Everything was perfect, clean, quiet, cozy and in such a beautiful landscape. If we get to return to Skye, we would certainly book here again.
