Rock View

Beautiful cottage in fabulous location in the Peak District. Cottage was warm and cosy with a nice comfy bed. Kathy was a very friendly and welcoming host and there was lots of helpful information and tips about walks and pubs to eat at in the guest information book.

The cottage was very beautiful with great views and nicely furnished. The wood burner was easy to use and very cosy. For a one-bedroom place the rooms were all a really good size, which we appreciated. Kathy was the perfect host - attentive and knowledgeable. There is an excellent pub - the Chequers - in walking distance. The village is peaceful but in easy reach of wonderful walks, pubs and cafes.

Nothing! Even the weather was perfect.

Good location for walking. Spacious for 2 people. Kitchen generally well equipped. Bed comfy and plenty of hot water for showers. Able to walk to good local pub with very nice menu, and good takeaway from nearby Indian restaurant. Missed having a smart tv to access netflix etc when not much on terrestrial channels, and couple of areas needed deeper clean

Lovely quiet locations, large living room and kitchen perfect for our needs. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need to cater for yourself. Property was lovely and warm helped by the wood burning stove, which made for lovely evenings in on a cold November night. Property was located near some lovely walks with amazing views and close to bigger towns like Bakewell for shops and restaurants. All in all great property with great facilities in a stunning location.

Quiet and private location, close to fab walks, cosy accommodation, king size bed, well equipped kitchen, amazing orchids, friendly host!

A little dusty in some areas, would have been useful to have more logs for fire available to buy on site, a little TLC small repairs needed in a few places but didn't impact overall function

Rock View is a gorgeous house located in the picture postcard village of Froggatt. Kathy's professional and friendly communication made the lead up to our stay easy and clear. The keys were left in a lock box for your arrival. The House is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and kitted out with everything possible to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom spacious with a lovely shower and piping hot water. The lounge has a woodburner which you are able to use making evenings cosy and romantic. Everything about the House is tastefully presented and we could have not been more happy with our choice in the Peak District. Very near all the attractions of Bakewell, Chatsworth House, the Monsel Trail and stunning pubs to name a few. My advice is don't bother booking a hotel, send the lovely Kathy a message and book Rock View instead - you will not be disappointed Thank you
